My son is a real wet blower. We have removed the pipes for he is just geting started with the bag. The blow stick and chanter are poly, so the only wood that gets moisture is the stocks. After he is done we swab the stocks for the blowpipe and chanter. But after that do you leave the chanter and blowpipe in the stocks? How much moisture is damaging. Should I be more concerned with it drying out too much?

Currently what you are doing drying the stocks
is good and will not damage them, moisture can.
I suggest you get your son a water trap or switch
over to a Ross Cannister System. I advise wet
blowers to remove the blowpipe from the blowpipe stock
when not in use after a playing session.
