Midwest Highland Arts Fund is proud to announce the release
of “WINTER STORM: The Pipes & Drums Concert 2002” recorded live, January 19, 2002 in Kansas City, Missouri. This recording is the product of the inaugural workshop and concert, which hosted over 100 workshop participants from 8 states and over 350 concert attendees.
Almost 74 minutes in length, this digitally-recorded CD has 21 tracks representing all styles of traditional highland piping and drumming featuring the talents of pipers Alasdair Gillies, Chris Hamilton, Lindsay Kirkwood and Iain Macey. Also featured is snare drummer Carl Lenny, tenor drummer Tyler Fry and the Kansas City St. Andrew Pipes & Drums.
