For a walk between venues, you definitely want to keep moving, 5 minutes can turn into 15 very easily, and remember, you won't be able to really talk while the piper is playing--very loud.
I suggest Highland Wedding-- a great 2/4 march. It will sound of celebration, and get you where you are going without tedium.
