Listening to a programme on BBC Radio 4 at 1100hrs today re the crash of a de Havilland Twin Otter aircraft in the sea off Northern Norway on 11th March 1982, sadly 15 passengers lost their lives.
A large proportion of the population of Norway believe that this incident involves a 'cover up' with the British Ministry of Defence, where allegedly a RAF Harrier from No 1 Squadron, Wittering together with a wingman may have contributed to this accident.
Neither of the Harriers should have been in this no fly area at the height of the coldwar period. Anyone with any information please post here or to my email address above.
