Subject: looking for an Older model for a Mac 6400 - 56k U.S. Robotics Sportster

 I'am looking for this older modem because it has the proper mac serial connector & they are supported by the operating system, however this computer has a Geoport and I believe I will have to take out the old 28k modem before I put in the 56k, is this correct ? I was also told that I have 2 PCI slots, so it's possible to install a USB card which would allow me to use a Modern modem, I need some advice, I'am trying to get this going for my mother who is 88 and wants to "surf" the internet- No kidding !!
