 Poncho...yes, you remember well. Palafox was Florencio Ortiz--Pete's brother they both passed away in September 1993 within a few days of each other. Now, the danza is led by Florencio's sons, Reynaldo and Javier Ortiz. I was ther this past weekend for the fiesta and it is still going strong. the grandsons and granddaughters and even great grandsons and great granddaughters of the men you mention are the ones dancing these days. The despedida was just as moving and just as beautiful as ever. Saludos a todos/as. Norma
