I guess it depends how things are set up..... Are we trying to 'entertain' the club members with this at same time as having a hell of a lot of fun, or is it just to 'amuse' ourselves? As has been mentioned as an idea for Summerfest; we can do some pork up for sale to spectators/members or just leave that idea behind and make it a day for cookers to relax and cook what they enjoy... If it's the latter, then maybe a 'Cooks' Choice' category as the 4th, where you make whatever the hell you think will dazzle the others/judges, with only stipulation being that it spend some time on the grill/smoker! With those guidelines you could theoretically enter slices of home-smoked ham, Ron could enter smoked oysters, Roger could do ABT's, Earl could do quail..etc etc...... all constituting bbq'd/grilled/smoked entries but the possibilities on entries are mind-boggling! Maybe your friend with the St Kitts newspaper could get some coverage on this idea...
My thoughts anywho,
