Barry, I don`t know about OTHER cures but Mortons Tenderquick contains no MSG.....not under the name of MSG anyways.

It is salt, sugar, 0.5% Sodium Nitrate and propylene glycol.
I`m not sure what they make up but thats what is written on the bag of Tenderquick.
