No, I didn't know about the change in ownership and rapid expansion plans either until I went hunting for info on the restaurant! The second article is about it and the writer sounds kind of sceptical about the move, eh?
The other place, it used to be Red Devil BBQ (same sign, they just kept the R and D and call it RD's BBQ...LOL). The Red Devil used to be a small franchise with 4-5 locations (one was across the West Mall from Earl; is that one still there, Earl?).
