Subject: Simple Pleasures

Got an invite from Mop to head down to Burlington yesterday for a spur-of-the-moment get-together. He did up his new favourite dish, butterflied whole chicken on the new ceramic cooker. Direct cooked, 350 degrees, no smoke wood, some onion chunks on the coals to get us droolin while it sizzled away. We sat on the deck under one of his catering canopies, tossing back a few cold ones, taking a quick dip in the hot tub every so often..... A great way to spend an evening. The butterflied chicken turned out great and it was a thoroughly enjoyable spontaneously arranged visit!
