Subject: My To-DO list for this long weekend

It's harvest time and here's the plan for the long weekend:
Go to the market now and buy a bushel of tomatoes, a half bushel of small cucumbers, a half bushel of jalapenos, 2 baskets of Ontario peaches, dill, spices, basil, cheeses and navy beans and fruits and vegies for the week. After that I'm taking the family out to the Brome agricultural fair to spend the day.
Tonight I'll be soaking the beans, rub a rack of ribs and brine the cukes.
Tomorrow: smoke the ribs, make about 2 dozen mason jars of tomato sauce, a batch of pesto to put in small containers in the freezer for the year, a few jars of dill pickles and bake the beans while my wife will be making peach preserve.
Monday, I will be smoking those jalapenos with pecan wood. I still don't know what we'll have for supper, maybe order out then go to sleep exhausted, lol.

Wish me luck. What's your plan for the long weekend?
