Subject: Father's Day

Looks like I'll be playing host to the annual Fathers Day schmoozefest for the family.(about a dozen or so people) I was thinking of doing the eye of the round sandwiches, but decided on ribs. I picked up a slab o' sides from my local grocery store yesterday on a whim, and they turned out being my best ribs ever. Tonight, I went back to the store and bought 5 packages to freeze, so that I can try to duplicate for the weekend.

Tentatively, the menu is as follows...hickory smoked ribs, apple smoked chicken, hushpuppies, baked beans, coleslaw and 'tatey salad. Probably apple pie for dessert. Oops, I forgot to mention the beer !

Anybody have any things to add or other suggestions for their "ideal" Fathers Day BBQ ??
