Subject: new cooker

yesterday afternoon we finally did some cooking on the new trailer smoker. put 5 racks of BB on at 2, a large load of russet potato's at 2:30 and 24 chicken breasts on at 5:00 . the cooker ran along at 230 degrees all afternoon and we ate at 6:30. the wood flavor was a combo of pecan (thanks again Qfan )and cherry. we are very pleased with our first cook. in the 4 1/2 hrs we used one bag of charcoal and thought that was good.

tomorrow brother Ron will be doing a whole pork loin and one rib roast along with another load of russets while i get caught up on work a little in the morning. i hope everything goes well for him.
