Subject: Question for any barrell grill owners

Hi Folks!

My mother-in-law has requested I smoke her a piece of salmon to bring to her house on Christmas Eve. I have a recipe and understand the basic technique, but I have a question regarding fire size.

I have a horizontal barrell grill that I will be using for the salmon via the indirect method. Can anybody give me a rough guideline as to how many briquettes it will take to generate a temp of around 160 deg. and how often I'll need to replenish?

Any guidance is greatly appreciated as always.
