well, thanks for the vote of confidence there Earl.

I never use that cooker for temps that low but based on what I have used in the past to maintain 225º (which is higher than what you need), I would think that it would take no more than 8 briquettes IF THAT!, Thats a guess, I would certainly not start out with any more than that..

Are you going to preburn the coals?, Whenever I have been unsure in the past, I would light a chimney of coals and then just add them to the cooker til I reach my desired temp and then just "maintain" from there....
