no Qfan have never tried injecting butter or anything else in turkey or chicken , only brine . its my belief that immersing in brine gives a total and even amount of saturation . i did this watered down brine for yesterdays bird and it turned out good , not real salty at all but did get the benefit of the flavor of the brine . the amount of water added was only about 1 1/2 to 2 cups for the gallon . you know sometimes people say " oh yea that was good " but theres still plenty left on the table . not so last night , i take it everyone was happy . i have been asked to prep a few for a friend on monday afternoon , snacks for his employees and guests . anyway , thats my 2 cents worth . reg
