Subject: Brantford Summerfest, Canadian Barbecue Battle

After almost 3 1/2 days in Victoria Park I'm still not fully recovered...LOL. I would like to thank all the teams that competed and a special thanks to the two U.S. teams for making this a truly international event. It was a hectic but fun weekend and with the exception of a couple of computer mixups at the end of the day on Saturday I felt it went very well. It was a learning experiance with the new software but it did work, the mistakes were human and a lesson well learned. The problem areas were rectified as quick as posible and hopfully satified every one, we learned that a double check is not enough and will double the double check in the future. The final results are as follows:

Hi I Que tied for First Place in shoulder/butt and it was missed, they were awarded the prize money and trophy for that place as well, this was one of the mistakes that we tried to correct as fast as possible. Three of the teams had two of there low scores droped instead of one but they still showed on the computer and it was my errer that they didn't print out the first time, BUT they didn't change any of the results in the final order that was awarded. As well the second sheet marked chicken should have read shoulder/butt.I hope this clears some of the concern and if not feel free to contact me at any time. Once again thanks for your patience.
