Hi Lousie, It was a shame you had a grump of an essessor, but put it aside and move on. As for writing long essays and reading I have some encouragment. I have just completed a degree in a Animation, and it was during this time I was diagnosed Dyslexic where I had been encouraged to leave the course as my academic writing was that bad. I was lucky that I was getting top marks for my film work which allowed for the suspicion. I never got great marks for my essays and they frustrated the hell out of me, tears, temper tamtrums, flinging of books. For my disseration which was in my final year 8,000 to 10,000 words I won't lie, it was one of the hardest things I have ever, ever done. But I did it. I picked a subject that I was keen on, I did a lot of visual research (which is encouraged if your dyslexic)I had one hour tutorials a week which you are entitled too (UK) and I got top 15 in my year...and I was very proud of myself. At the beginning I had convinced myself that I couldn't do it, but with support I did, and I wrote over a 10,000 words...and so can you!
