I just realized why I was having such a hard time with learning. I love reading but it's almost always segmented in topics. I don't follow directions good verbally because I try to process and understand AT THE SAME TIME and they have to repeat it to me over and over, sometimes I still hear Gibberish...
The best class I ever had was in College with Beginning Algebra and the instructor was really good. He approached it in a laid back, less snobby professor way and broke things down into sections. That's the only thing that will work for me anyway, breaking down fancy-looking sentences into what I'm really looking for and tossing out the useless words. Some textbooks are the culprit when you think you're doing great, they twist sentences around, get too wordy and they really need to be blunt, sectioned and friendly to picture-oriented people (or whatever your preference is to everyone else in here).
