Dear Grace, of course, we have similar problems ("Boys are boys!") despite of little age difference our lads and I'l try with my pleasure.
Do you check them in private or not? - Sometimes, in privacy, but more often in brother's presence. I consider brothers have no to embarrasse each other in any situations. Moreover, if my neighbor, who is my friend, is in our home, I check boys in her presence. She has own children, understand our problems and view boyish behinds can't shocked her. Friends of my kids know that they are checked and spanked by me still but I don't do it in their presence now.
In which position: bending or over the lap? - Both my lads are too big for checking over my lap as was earlier until their 12-13. Now, for checking they have to spread legs maximally, bend and open bottom's cheeks by hand. It gives me full view on boy's crack and anus. Sometimes, visual evaluation is enough, sometimes, I use toilet paper.
Do you check them "on regular basis" or noT? - It's difficult question. Of course, I have no time for checking after each toileting (it was till their 12). However, if during preparation laundry, I saw dirty underpants (really dirty, because little skidmarks are excussable - they both have very hairy cracks) I call them and checked right there. Nevertheless, lads know that their behinds must be clean, because mom can in any time check it. On average, I do it 2-3 times weekly (if need, more often).
Do you wipe them if you find dirty or not? - If any from boys is dirty during checking, he ought to wipe himself, sometimes, in front me and brother, and demonstrate result. However, we have one exception. If any from lads deserves punishment for his sins, he ought to take off everything down waist and go in position. If I see his behind is dirty, I wipe it myself by wet towel but culprit gets 5 additional amacks of hairbrush.
Grace, your boys have "difficult time" now, I remember it. Keep them in "discipline order". They are little boys still despite their hairy penises and cracks and self-opinion that they are too old for obedience and hygiene.
