Dr. Hovind is a hard-working servant of the Lord. His ultimate goal is to bring others to the news of salvation. I know this from personal experience, as I have shared conversation with himin the past.
Simply because he is an outspoken creationist, he gets slammed right and left by evolutionists and non-believers, as would be expected. He takes evolutionary material as it is presented in textbooks and other media and exposes it for the brainwashing effects it can have on our children. Professors regularly refuse to debate him because his knowledge, in particular, contains powerful evidence for creation. Evolutionists are generally afraid of evidence for creation.
Ths jist of it is this... both creation and evolution are religions. So why should one get federal backing in schools while the other one is getting futher and further removed from all public institutions? I have no problem with evolution being taught as a theory, but the theory of intelligent design needs equal time. To me, it's at least one possible stepping stone toward God.
