I will try and get a prototype done by the end of the week, but I have some volunteer committments scheduled, so I am not sure when it will get done.

Do you want something that breaks down small enough to store in the bike, or will you only use it from home to golf and back and then it could store away in the garage?

The more bolts and/or quick connect pins the less stable it would be. I am planning on square tubing and either a wire or piece of solid metal up from the bottom to hold the bottom of the golf bag in place and then just using some type of latching system (supersized velcro) or maybe a 1" tie down strap. There is something I have on my bicycle carrier, and if I can find that in the correct dimensions, I will buy it instead.
