 The chain lube that I use on my KTM 250 SX is not what I would call penetrating and lubricating. It is a white substance coming out of the can, and if I over spray and it gets on the garage floor, it is almost sticky. It dries to a different feel that you really can't tell, but there is no way it would go down a cable sheath with a cable in it.
