Subject: Helmet Visor / Face shield ?

I just remembered something from last riding season that I wanted to ask about. A few years ago I had a 3/4 helmet I wore that had a short, black visor on it. I never used a face shield because of the Voyager windshield and the sunglasses I wore.

I got a new helmet HJC full face before Rapid City and I also bought a full face shield in the dark, smoke color. There's no visor.

Here's the problem...(You've already guessed it I'll bet). When riding into the sun, later in the day, the sun is blinding even though I've got the smoke face shield down and I'm wearing sun glasses underneath. There's a definite need to have even the shortest visor to be able to tilt my head down until the visor blocks out the sun.

Does anyone know of a solution to this problem. It's funny that you have to choose between a visor or a face shield but you can't have both.

I'm going to the Cleveland motorcycle show and I'll look around for something but I don't think I've ever found anything.

What do others do about this problem? I've got to say, a few times last year, the sun was so blinding, I almost pulled over for a while.

Thanks!

Wayne
