I used to wear the transition lenses also years ago. Then I had RK surgery on the eyeballs and did't have to have prescription lenses for about 8 or 10 years. Just used as ZZ Top would say "Cheap Sunglasses". But as I have gotten older I had to go back to prescription glasses, bifocal this time. My insurance wouldn't cover me to have the lacsicks surgery like my previous insurance did for RK. They do cover part of my glasses, but to get transition on line bifocals is pretty expensive. Having 2 sets of glasses, and making some adjustments is cheaper.
