Beings how I'm a bit over 60 myself, I totally agree with the frustration of those trying to learn this stuff. But, hopefully with a little humor here, let me take a step back a get a better view of things. Sometimes what looks more complicated doesn't always turn out to be.
I'm driving my truck in city traffic a lot now, and I no longer like my 'simple' stick shift. I want an automatic, it'd simplify my life; I was given a wonderful electric screwdriver last Christmas by my wife (Bosch no less -I'd have been too cheap to pay the $$ myself) which I use all the time now - it's just easier to do a job & I actually get more work done. And so on for many other things in my life.
I'm going to give her - the new board - my best efforts because I've found she's got hidden talents! Well, ok - My eyes just aren't as good as they used to be but - Shoot & Hot Tamales! - The board just seems easier to read - like when posting a mesage; I've also forgotten things sometimes - like posts I've made (and my keys & wallet), but HOT TAMALES! again - the new board actually *emails me* when someone responds to a post I've made. Finally, a pet peeve related to my cranky right hand - when I open a thread or conversation I don't have to keep moving my mouse all around to find the exact spot that the 'next message' text has moved to - the whole thread is there, in easy to read big text! And these were just the my first discoveries! Good job AVA!
Oh I even have a 'moniker' now - Grumpy (given by my family) but I'll always be Bob of Bob/Robin (OH-KY) to y'all. Best to you all - see you in Bowling Green if not sooner!
