We are still set for our meeting in Daytona. Please read through these posts to get an idea of what we are talking about. Mike McGee is expecting about 20 people at the event that he knows about. I have created directions that you see below.
Once you are going east on Speedway Blvd you will see a bridge that looks like the one in the picture below (note: the slightly overweight, but still handsome guy that is wearing an Enchanted Voyager T-Shirt, with the Y2K Voyager XII may or may not be parked in the same spot). When you see the "Welcome to Daytona" bridge you will have to look off to the right and you will see all the exhibits. You will have to go under the bridge and make the next right turn and ride back to get to the tents.
Anyone from the AVA is encouraged to come see us; even if you don't live in the Southeast. Don't forget to bring your AVA membership card. Kawasaki will host us in their hospitality area but you might have to prove your affiliation with the AVA. If your not a member or can't find your card then send an e-mail to me and/or Mike McGee and we will see what we can do about getting you in.
After our meeting, and time with Kawasaki (and seeing some other exhibits at the Raceway) We plan on riding out toward the beach to see some more Bike Week activity and then taking US 1 home. The one thing that sticks in my mind from last year is that it is useful to have lots of small bills with you so you can pay for parking down by the beach (I'm told there are other things people do with small bills at certain establishments around Daytona, but I stay away from those places).
If anyone from South Florida will be taking a break at our house on their way North, please e-mail us.
Regardless of where you live we hope to see you next Saturday in Daytona!
