I solved the problem with some semi-gloss paint sprayed on the outside of the visor. It will block the penetrating rays of the sun very well. Here is how it works. Take the visor off of the helmet and measure about 1 1/2 " to 2" down from the top of the visor. Take some masking tape and line the visor on the part of the visor that you want to paint (line the area that you just measured). Cover the front and back sides of the visor with paper and be sure to close all holes in the folded paper. You do not want to take even a small chance that any of the paint can find its way to the part of the visor that is to remain unpainted. Use Scotch Brite or lite sandpaper to scuff sand the part to be painted. Spray the area at the top of the visor that is intended for the paint. Any spray paint will probably work well. I used Krylon from Lowes. Do not over spray. All that is needed is a good cover and let it flash off. In other words, let the paint go from shine to dull and then remove the line of tape at the edge of the paint line. Leave the other paper and tape in place until the sprayed area is dry.
Remove the paper and extra tape and reinstall the visor. Another fix is a product that you can purchase to static cling to the visor. I have seen it, but I do not have a clue where to purchase it. That is why I went with the paint idea. I have done the paint on four helmets of my own over the years, it has always worked well for me.
