They seldom if ever say product or bike is inferior when they test it. According to them, seems like everything was a great product/ buy. And that isn't true. I dropped them like a stone after a year."
I am sorry I do not agree with you. MCN is probably the least biased of any motorcycle mag out there since they have no advertisting. In an issue acouple of months ago they did a shoot out with of the top Sport Tourers. The Yamaha FJR1300, Honda ST1300, and the new Concours GTR1400. All of the other mags gpicked the Concours as the top dog, but MCN went with the Yamaha FJR. In fact they picked the Concours last in every category. Now I didn't agree with that, since I have riden one and think its pretty sweet. I have bought and used products they recommended and some they didn't. I have agreed with them for the mostpart. For me they are like the "Consumer Reports" of motorcycling. All of the other mags can be pretty biased depending on who is paying the bills. MCN is buy subscription only, I have never seen it on the news stand. I was a subscriber for many years, dropped it for while (not because it didn't like it) and came back.
My $0.02.
