We are loosing air from our rear shocks. It will hold pressure for several days as it sits in the garage and we only experience the air loss when the shocks are compressed/extended. We might start a ride at 30 psi but than 15-20 miles later we are down to 10-15 psi. The rubber lines looks to be OK.

We have gotten used to riding without any air pressure at all, but simply having the spring preload set at 4 on each shock. It's rough but tolerable. That was as a result of our first attempt to fix the valve and overtighting (and subsequently snapping) the schrader valve. The new valve is installed but were back to the slow air loss situation.

We carry an air pump but were hoping for a more permanent fix.

I remember in an old post something about someone who would squirt WD 40 or liquid wrench or something like that into the lines. At this point we might even try that green flat resistant stuff they put in tires.

Any ideas?
