I like my factory sound, but this topic of louder pipes has come up quite often. I have friends that have drilled out thier baffles on other brand bikes, this gives them the throaty sound they are looking for and they claim it has increased thier performance. A side note is that remember although you may get peoples attention with louder pipes, there is a reason you will be the designated tail gunner. Noone likes to ride behind a loud bike in a group. I find it to be unsettling, and it throws my senses off for a little while.
