Kawasaki sends an E Mail to me occasionally, telling about their latest lineup of bikes, and recently they informed me of the upcoming International Motorcycle Show at the Javitts Center in New York City. I usually attend, as this is the "big show" of the year. I remember seeing the Concours 14 up on a platform, it wouldn't be at the dealers for many months, and i don't think that it was even the final version of the new Concours. You couldn't get near it, but there it was, and people could get interested and think about it. When folks inquire about a Kawasaki touring motorcycle, they show a big cruiser with a couple bags and a windshield. "There ya are, that's our touring bike". If
there was "something in the works, something coming along"
wouldn't it make sense for a company with such a project to have a little tease, or a hint out there, maybe even a blurred picture to whet the appetite of potential customers ? I'm the owner of a twelve year old Kawasaki Voyager, and it's fine, but if i feel that i'm ready to buy a new touring motorcycle, i think waiting for the New Voyager is a lost cause.
