Mike I would recommend going with Chris's Brackets and a set of gl1500 armrest. I have done this and it works great. additionally it keeps the arm rest mounted to the fram instead ofthe trunk which can create a potential breakout or crack in the trunk. Chris's arm brackets are 75 then I got my gl 1500 rest for 50.00 off ebay. THere is still as set on ebay of the OEM arm rest.
