Yeah Masked Rider project was in Mc Cook county, about 6-7 miles south of Salem at the junction of I 90 and state hiway 81.. County courthouse is in Salem. They did run into opposition with land owners etc. Most farmers around here disagree with about anything that comes along except ethanol plants and crop subsidy payments ( which they just buy up some more land with ).Can't see what it would have bothered at that site especially the Salem town people. I also know about being hard of hearing , was born that way and wear a hearing aid and should wear two. I got thru school OK and 2 yrs of college but still missed out on a lot of conversation, some good some bad. I also married a great gal that has put up with me and this problem for 46 years Many poeple are hard of hearing and don't want to admit it. Those sign language people are amazing.
