Bob,
The Hot Grips for the Voyager are 5.75" long and for a 7/8" diameter handlebar. The left grip will be 7/8" I.D. for the bar, the right one will be 1.00" I.D. to fit over the throttle sleeve. You will need the grips with the hole in the butt end so you can refit the bar end weight.
As someone said, the throttle side has some ridges on the plastic that you will have to file, sand or shave off somehow. These have to be removed and you MUST be able to slide the grip on without forcing it. It just takes a bit of time and patience.
Last, get the epoxy that Hot Grips recommends for the installation. It is a high strength (reinforced with Kevlar), high temperature, two-part epoxy that can stand the operating temperatures without softening. The name is Power Poxy and it's made in Sussex, WI, of all places. You can check all about it on www.powerpoxy.com.
I'm a fan of Hot Grips. In fact, I have a set laying on the bench right now that I'm going to install on my Concours-14.
Hope this helps.
