Lorraine wrote the first slash-fic on the storyboards - she was so nervous about it! She e-mailed me and asked if I thought people would be shocked, and I told her that there would inevitably be people who disapproved of the whole "Michael/Brian" thing, but that she had to be true to her instincts.

The fact that IT stole the character of Brian (who was based on an actual person Lorraine knew and loved) just made the whole thing even more controversial...

And, I guess writing a slash-fic definitely broke all the rules of LFN-dom at that time! LOL!
