Still trying to catch up -- "darkness," and little bit of "forest animals."

It never really gets dark in a city. Growing up in the projects, the only darkness that Jenny knew was under the covers of her bed, hoping that her stepfather would think she was asleep and leave her alone for once. It wasn't any darker in prison, after she'd killed him and his horny friends, but you didnt really want it dark when you were trying to keep your eyes open. And it was never dark in Section, even when you cut the lights in your quarters there was still a dim glow, for the closed circuit camera feed. But out here, crouched at the edge of a forest next to an abandoned farmhouse, it was really dark, the kind of dark where your eyes start to strain trying to find some light, and you almost jump out of your skin, when you see two glowing dots close to the ground, the eyes of some animal come to look at what they smelled.

Later on, after she'd taken out the target, she saw a faint light out of the corner of her eye where his watch had landed when he slammed into the ground. 2:43:35, 2:43:36. 2:43:37.
