"whose reaction to Methos is, meh, whatever". I feel the same. I like the character well enough but don't see any eye candy in him.

There's also another character ripe for m/m with Nichael - Helmut Volker. And he didn't die at the end of his arc. And, in the beginning, it seemed to me he was as equally interested in Michael as he was Nikita.
