Well, the negative feedback; the two comments I always get from my instructors are "too much energy" and "not conversational enough."
See, a good DJ isn't supposed to have presence. He/she's little more than an anonymous voice talking to you. Well, not so anonymous. An old friend. When I'm on the air, I'm not talking to all 5000 of my listeners. I'm supposed to be talking to YOU!
And too much energy, well, that always happens when I read things. I have the opposite problem of everyone else. When a normal person reads something, all of their natural inflection drains from their voice and their voice becomes a dreary monotone. Me? When I read something, my natural inflection quadrouples. It's like I'm teaching Get Set again. (Actually, more like that one brief period when I was teaching Line Up.) I find the best way to combat that is to ignore my instructors advice (which is TIGHTLY SCRIPT EVERY WORD YOU SAY ON AIR) and just make point form notes for myself to stay on track.
And trust me, I'd love to produce some stuff, but between my regular production assignments and every other project I've got on the go, I just don't have time.
(BTW, my point form notes are just my blog.)
