All of this is good advice...to some degree...

However he has been to numerous doctors including UCLA children's psych facility. My sister is not capable of leaving the state, nor is there more then one other facility that does what this one does out here.

My sister is a major advocate for my nephew, and she has researched more then most on what's available. See you have to meet certain criteria, or have your ducks ready for the fight when you need something done. His insurance denies him based on "pre-existing" conditions...and if the Doc's try to diagnose him UNmedicated the insurance will say then there is no need for help. In their world if you are capable of being unmedicated even for the purpose of diagnosing...then you "obviously" don't need it...Eh hem...sure...

We have been to lawyer after lawyer...Doctor after Doctor...you name it and we've been there and still are there. The place he's in now has done such wonders with him. They are the life savers that you can't imagine...and because they are paid by the school district and the Dept of Mental Health...they have been able to observe him without the meds because there is no insurance agent screaming in their face.

There is a suit pending over his first school for failing to protect him and recognize his learning disability. Then there is a law suit over some of his meds...We have been down a long and winding road...

Thank you for your responses and your help...All is appreciated :)
