I need some help out there. My husband is scheduled to serve on jury duty at the same time I am supposed to give birth. When we called the clerk office office to ask for an excuse, the judge told him that pregnancies happen everyday and that he could not be excused. I can't believe that a judge would not understand that a husband would want to be around his wife just in case she goes into labor. This is for federal court and to my understanding I was told that it was very hard to get out of. Can you please offer me some suggestions to what I can do?
