You make some good points. It is all too easy for us, seeing something we don't like, to call it sick, stupid or evil. But in the case of this loony preacher, excuse me if I mark "All Of The Above." You may be right that they would not accept help if offered. They are probably proud of what they think is a profound understanding of the divine plan when actually all they have done is re-invented the wheel and made it square.
