Two little cars, a red and a blue
Owned by a little boy I knew
Their power not run by gasoline
But two little hands they played between
And when I picked them off the floor
From under the couch or behind the door
I pressed them lovingly to my heart
For my dear little boy they seemed a part
For the paint worn from those little machines
Were by two little hands they played between
Now that little boy has gone away
To a far off land
Till a far off dayAnd as I tuck each toy away
The tears fall fast
As I kneel and pray
That the day will come
When this war will cease
And he will come home
To love and peace
