Acting it out is only a start. Keep in mind there is no real scientific data to back up my proposal, and I do not encourage this behavior without a professional to consult with, but if a person has an interest in this physically harmful behavior, maybe seeing themselves act it out, reflecting on those images, and considering any and all ramafications then perhaps a realization can be aceessed for how unaffective suicide truly is, and in the process of reflection and sharing the material the person has already extended their life and made it possible for other avenues of healing and relationships to begin.
