I would like to express my thanks to all of my bus trip friends. Between the talks, the dinners, the dancing and yes hanging out in the lobby -the weekend in Long Island was filled with many moments of laughter. In this incredibly difficult time in our lives Irish Dance and the GC Families have provided real comfort and healing for us.

The Petri Dancers will be holding a food drive at the Petri Feis on 9/26/2009 at Hofstra University. The drive will support the Mary Brennan INN in Hempstead, N.Y.
If you are interested in participating in the food drive, we would ask that you bring your donations to our feis on Saturday 9/26/2009.

Thanks to ALL of our hard working volunteers - parents, dancers, retired dancers, siblings, grand-parents, boyfriends, teachers. It was awesome to have so many volunteers - you are the key to the success of the Oakville Feis. Yes, we have a great new venue, but it is the dedication of the volunteers that make the event run smoothly! Special mention to all the stage builders that did double duty this year with building the new stages and then setting them up at the venue three months later! Many, many thanks to my committee - The Oakville Feis Association - for all the hard work, the long hours and the personal sacrifices. It was a very exciting year with the receipt of the Trillium Grant.

GC Summer BBQ -- The OIDA, 17:21:56 08/19/09 Wed
Hello Everyone!
The annual GC Summer BBQ will be held on Sunday August 30th (the day after the Oakville Feis) starting at 2:00 p.m. Barb and her family have generously offered the use of their backyard and pool again this year for this fun event. Parents, dancers and siblings are welcome to attend. Come on out and catch up with old friends and get to know some new ones. It will also be a great wrap-up to what is shaping up to be a great feis!
Please bring your own lawn chair and don't forget your swimsuit and towel.
The OIDA will be supplying the hamburgers/hotdogs (vegetarian options will be available) and soft drinks. You are asked to please bring either an appetizer (preferably one that doesn't need to be heated up) or a dessert and any other beverage you might like ;-)

RincePix is pleased to be the Official Photographer again at this year's feis, and as a thank you for having us out again I'd like to offer an opportunity for Goggin-Carroll families to support the Oakville or Windsor dancer associations.
Tomorrow only, if you have your dancer's portrait taken, 20% of your purchase will be donated back to your dancer's fundraising committee (location appropriate). This offer is only good for tomorrow, and for order that are paid in full. Prices start at only $20.00 for an 8x10, or $25.00 for 2-5x7's (get a photo taken with your best friend!) There are also packages available that make the price per photo even lower.
