Here are all the helmet markings used by the 505th that I know of:

All units 505th PIR (Mediterranian period)----a white or yellow "Ramapnt Lion



Normandy period:


1/505th PIR----Red Diamond with Black "J"

2/505th PIR----two white lightning bolts 3/505thPIR---Black Cannonball with white fuse

Occupation period:

2/505th PIR----Shooting Star
