This is my first attempt to learn more about my father, Alvin Manville. Thought I would give it a try. He was in the 505 3rd Battalion, Company G. Normandy was his third combat jump. He was wounded about three days after jumping in while defending St. Mere Eglise. Was evacuated to England, and came back as part of the protection platoon for Mathew Ridgeway for the remainder of the war. Was a Sargent. Passed away in 1994. Want to learn how to get his war records, and would love to chat with anyone who knew him..........Thanks for any help you may have in what directions I can go in..
