I see the movie coming because the budget < $50 mil is something Fox would go for, DVD sales make it a good bet, and there's built in desire to see a resolution to at least one romance: Angel & Buffy.

But I don't think there is any real interest on Sarah Michelle Gellar's part or David Boreanaz' part in order for a movie to be made.

Would I like a Movie to be made? Oh hell yeah!!! But I won't fool myself into thinking there might be one because of Twilight. Oh they are making a sequel already.

Neither of them are staying up nights thinking about it I'm sure. I am saying, Bones is going to hit the five year syndication mark, Gellar is coming to HBO, and everyone else is is doing just okay work.

It's the biggest chance any one of them will have to make a splash on the big screen again with SMG flaming out as a theatrical draw, Josh's Serenity flat line ( a movie I personally love) & Wonder Woman crash. Truth is, the clock is ticking for James Marsters & Tony Head. This is Hollywood where age and money drive a lot of decisions.

My guess is an announcement within 18 months and a movie within 24-30 months. BTW, if it isn't clear I still love all of the Scoobies for the show that they did, but the window in which they are just too damn old to do a movie is just about shut. Past that and it's a reboot with a younger cast.

Sorry no I don't think so. I agree with your message aside from the above comment. Head is a British actor and both well established and almost iconic is his ability to play across genres and type.

Post-Buffy he has had an eclectic career, both embracing his traditional patrician roles and enjoying hamming them up (see Little Britain and Dr Who).

Anthony Head is the least of all the Buffy alumni to worry about 'the clock'.

Not in terms of his career outside of Buffy, but in terms of being what Hollywood will go for on the 40ft screen in the role of Giles.
