To me Christian the comics are just glorified fanfic and not very good fanfic at that. To me its no conicidence that the best of the comics was the Faith/Giles arch and Joss did not write it.
You have Buffy becoming a bank robber/sleeping with a pupil etc etc and the plot itself makes no sense and is full of holes.
Even Whedon himself has said he would ignore them if he had to do a Buffy film.
I think if it was not for the fact its got Buffy the Vampire Slayer written by Joss Whedon plastered on it people would have ditched this long ago.

while I wasn't happy with the 7th season, I'd rather remember buffy standing at that crater and smiling... instead of the hot mess they've given us lately...

When both series were still on air I DID buy the comics. Less for the comic content and more for the insider interviews and reports.

I've collected Whedon's Fray comic, though, and I love them. Artwork and storylines!

Have any of you read the comic Barb Cummings and a team of fans created?
