Probably an unpopular opinion, but my take was that SMG was phoning it in at the end.

After Season One of "Angel," she never appeared on the spin-off again, she never did any DVD commentaries for "Buffy." I got the impression that she couldn't wait to get out of there.

Also, it was Eliza Dushku who brought in Joss for "Dollhouse." In effect, she was the producer who hired him for her series.

Sorry I misspelled Joss' name again. I guess, just in a hurry or something.

I would like to read a book written by some of the cast or even some frank comments from SMG as to what happened to make her so upset towards the end of the series. My impression is that she was upset with Joss and David. I guess working inside a dark warehouse for 7 years can get to a person. But I did read that she didn't like the direction they were taking Buffy in, like not making her the hero she was before. I thought David and Joss were a little overly when they suggested in interviews that Angel was so much more mature than BTVS? It seemed like little digs here and there from them.

Thanks for the information about Eliza Dushku.
